A friend of mine who lives near me (a French guy) is a mechanic for a garage that does repairs on cars like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche etc. He gets to test drive them as a part of the repair process, although I do wish he got more excited about the cars; he tells me in such a blasé way that he drove like a Dodge Viper or something at work that day, it makes me want to scream at him! He also over the Obon holiday borrowed a Mercedes S-series for a week while his parents visited from France, in order to ferry them around places. A nice perk for sure. Such things are typically unheard of here because it's not seen as a "respectable job". To make matters worse, the only internet provider in this area has such pitiful service that we're practically using dial-up most days :P This doesn't make it impossible, though....
